Sterling Silver is legally .925 in concentration. It contains alloys in order to make it softer.
Copper is often used which causes the metal to tarnish.A new development in silver uses platinum for a bright white sheen and no tarnish but is very expensive and hard to find.
Argentium Silver is sterling silver which replaces about 3% of the copper alloy with germanium and is very tarnish resistant. It can also be hardened beyond that of fine and other sterling silvers and used for pieces that will receive hardy wear. This is the sterling yo will find in the studio unless otherwise requested.
Fine Silver is .999 in concentration. It is pure silver and is a bit softer though ls not as easily tarnished as sterling. It is also more valuable because of the higher concentration of precious metal. This metal however because of it's softness can be delicate and jewelry made with pure/fine silver should be removed before any rough activities take place.
Gold Ranges from 10k, which is roughly @ gold,to 18k gold which is around u gold and is usually the highest concentration you will find being
used in jewelry within the United States. As with silver it is mixed with alloys in order to strengthen the metals atoms. Because gold is the softest metal, pure gold would not be a good candidate for a piece of jewelry. Yellow gold is the only gold available at Suzy Sins Studio for now.
WE NOW OFFER WHITE GOLD!
White gold, like yellow gold, comes in different concentrations.10k, 14k and 18k are the three most commonly found in the United States. There is 9k white goldand 16k white gold as well. They are usually found in Germany and other foreign countries and are harder to get a hold. of.White gold may be coupled with one of two alloys affecting it's price range. White gold alloyed with nickel has a bluer tinge to it and is more commonly found. Items you might find in lower budget jewelry shops ( not cheap or bad but
lower budget) such as K-Mart or Wal-Mart jewelry is likley alloyed with Nickel. Another alloy used less commonly is platinum. White gold alloyed with platinum is whiter and brighter. It is much more expensive for oviouse reasons. This kind of white gold you will likely find in higher budget shops such as Jared's or MJ Christensen. Suzy Sins studio is able to offer either of the two gols to clients. Keep in mind that nickle alloyed white gold is very beautiful and platinum alloyed white gold is also beauitful- but it WILL COST YOU.
Cubic Zircon or CZ is a great alternative to the expense of diamonds and is actually a much more brilliant stone. They come in all shapes and all colors of the rainbow.
Examples of what can be done with a CZ
Faceted gems are a classic choice. Inquire about your desired shape and size. While natural stones are very nice indeed, lab grown stones are not only more brilliant but also less expensive and it's nearly impossible to tell the difference between a good lab grown and a natural stone. This is because they are chemically identical.

Just a few Available are-
